With the help of Richie Hawtin and his label Plus 8 Records, Deadmau5 has ushered in a new alias that sits very differently to his usual euphoric hits that he’s currently touring Future Music Festival Australia with.

The Canadian producer has hooked up with Richie Hawtin to inaugurate a single titled ‘Sunspot (White Space Conflict)’ under the producer name Testpilot with Hawtin emphatically introducing the track by saying:

“It’s been nearly two years since the last PLUS 8 record, but it seemed fitting that this record in particular, made by another skinny white kid, became part of the label’s collection and history.”

This single is a driving minimal tech number with an ample amount of hypnotic clarity that will fuzz your brain on repetition the deeper you get into it.
