Dance music facts, what you didn’t know!

Our attention to detail can often be skewed by the millions of messages trying to get through to us in advertising, television, social media and more. This can often give the average user not enough time to divulge information that is deeper than what you are directly  told.

We feel just ‘knowing’ a producers music isn’t that fun and hereby are introducing a segment in which we delve deeper into the rabbit whole of dance music. Here are the first facts that you might not know!

Fact no.1 – The creation of a legendary French duo’s name originated from a British journalist calling their original band ‘a bunch of daft punk’ in which Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo found it amusing and formed Daft Punk while Laurent Brancowitz went on to form Phoenix.

The Chemical Brothers

Fact no.2 – Two diligent history majors who met at the Manchester University in 1989 went on and formed an act that have made timeless dance music and go by the name of The Chemical Brothers!

Fact no.3 – Richard Melville is a distant relative of the world famous author Herman Melville, who produced a novel titled Moby Dick. This would explain his electronic alter-ego Moby.

Fact no.4 – We are now in the 21st Century and shit is clearly not okay in terms of the market, mainly because David Guetta was named #1 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 last year but in saying that, he was born on November 7, 1967 making him nearly as old as my dad (how embarrassing)!

Fact no.5 – Sonny Moore began his musical endeavours in the hardcore band “From First to Last” but has just won a number of Grammy Awards via his recent production project Skrillex.

Fact no.6 – For the record, Calvin Harris (Adam Wiles) doesn’t like soft types of cheese and the two lads from LMFAO are actually uncle and nephew!
