Daft Punk and… Stevie Wonder to Perform Together at the Grammys

Take a quick look at your bucket list and there are probably two major acts that would stand out as ones to watch live (no, not Nickleback). Thanks to the gang at the Grammys we already know we’ll be able to see Daft Punk actually perform this time post the anti-climatic MTV VMA awards but along with some seriously special guests including the one and only Stevie Wonder (guess Nile Rodgers wasn’t teasing us about the live show after all).

The performance was a no-brainer following the French pair earning themselves a staggering five Grammy nominations including the big one – ‘Record of the Year’.  Although we’re expecting a serious robot white wash they’ll be boxing it out with other electronic guns Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Calvin Harris, Kaskade and more (Spotifys streaming stats are an interesting point of difference).

For full affect Daft Punk will also be enlisting their left and right hand men, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell (who just got name checked as appearing on new Major Lazer) as well as the ‘RAM’ session players Chris Caswell, Nathan East, Omar Hakim, and Paul Jackson Jr.

While a lot of fans weren’t sure about the new album ‘Random Access Memories’ it’s hard not to get bopping to what will surely be performed on the night “Get Lucky”. Lets just hope it’s better than that Bono, The Edge and Nile Rodgers cover of “Get Lucky” we heard last year.
