Cut Copy, Skrillex nominated for Dance Grammys

Cut Copy

Cut Copy, Skrillex, Deadmau5, David Guetta and Robyn have all been nominated for ‘Best Dance/Electronica Albums’ for the 2012 Grammys.

The weirdness of it all is the eclectic sounds each producer brings, from the band format of Cut Copy – who could actually be considered indie, all the way to the deafening sounds of Dubstep that is Skrillex (who has actually been nominated five times!).

Looking at the bigger picture it can be said that all artists have drawn a universal appeal, even the at-times cringeworthy efforts of David Guetta.

Best Dance/Electronica Album

Zonoscope – Cut/Copy
4×4=12 – Deadmau5
Nothing But The Beat – David Guetta
Body Talk, Pt. 3 – Robyn
Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites – Skrillex

Who do you think should win? Who do you think missed out?
