Crossing Borders – Armin Van Buuren Breaks US Record

The US have once again proved their secret love affair with Dutch producers is unconditional via the carrier pigeon delivering the message that Armin Van Buuren now proudly holds the record for the most charted dance/electronic albums on their well known Billboard charts after a commendable second place in DJ Mags Top 100.

With his ‘A State Of Trance Year Mix 2013’ being the officially charted 20th album for the producer, he has now surpassed NYC / Jersey Shore based Italian American Louie DeVito’s previous record which was of course 19.

The news couldn’t be better timed with the man embarking on his most ambitious tour across America yet following a hop-skip around our backyard for Stereosonic. He is set to pack the tour bus and go across 40 cities doing no less than 7-hour sets for the sake of giving his fans “time to get into the music, because if they do and they really experience it, you can take them on a journey and the impact of when you do play big tracks is a lot bigger.”

Somehow we feel this record surpasses that of Steve Aokis and Dada Lifes effort. Let’s hope there is no more embarrassing run ins like there was with THIS cheesy midday American talk show.
