Indonesian based electro producer Angger Dimmas is hitting Australian shores with a plethora of bass pounding tracks in his suitcase. Lucky for us, we got a chance to ask him a few questions and gain an insight into what makes him tick!

First job?

My first job was playing gigs with my old band in and around Jakarta back in 2001.

Hero?

My Dad is my hero – he taught me a lot about music and life and also how to think like a real man. Salute!

Song closest to heart?

A lot of music is close to my heart, but I have always loved “Himiko Kikuchi – Hollywood Illusions”, “Heatwave – All I Am” and “Earth, Wind & Fire – After The Love Has Gone”. Also my favourite band since I was kid is Casiopea. I know there’s not any dance music here, but thats where my love of music came from! 🙂

Memory of first gig you played at?

I can’t remember the name of the place, but it was in Jakarta and it was not very good haha!

Last thing you do before you dj?

Before I leave my room I jump on my bed and scream! 😉

Favourite Indonesian Meal?

Nasi Goreng Kambing from the street-stalls in Jakarta and Sambal Goreng Hati made by my Grandma.

What have you got in store for Australia?

A lot of new music! I’ll make some on the plane.

What else are you good at?

Singing, joking around and drinking tequila!
