Throwback Track: Touch Sensitive – Pizza Guy

It’s been a hot streak of throwback tunes of late having given “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit”, the Boys Noize remix of “My Moon My Man” and the trumpet heavy “Destination Calabira” their time to shine!

While these tracks all surfaced around the globe at just the right time, it’s undeniable that Australia has fronted it’s own, albeit more modern takes on the throwback track. Case in point, Touch Sensitive’s humongous grower “Pizza Guy”.

Taking heavy cues of the luscious French Touch sound that dominated dancefloors through the early 2000s, the ex-Van She bass slayer gave this style an Aussie twist. What came next was one of the most head-nodding, toe-tapping, thigh slapper that still to this day sounds as fresh as if it was released yesterday.

The music video is also a special nod to the simplicity of the track with a moustache’d guy (touch himself) delivering fresh wax to all walks of life in a retro Ferrari. How good!

Better yet, you could cop Touch Sensitive playing live in your living room or backyard! It’s part of Smirnoff’s ‘Party Yard’ to celebrate the release of their delicious new seltzer range. Interested? Check out details here.
