Boy oh boy, when Alex Gaudino’s”Destination Calabria” landed on dancefloors in 2007 it changed things in a big way!

It was a big, brassy track with a solid kick and sultry vocals courtesy of Crystal Waters – behind iconic hit “Gypsy Women”. I’m sure dance music enthusiasts at the time scratched some chins and passed it up but time has looked fondly on this one and has certainly earned its title as a classic.

The music video as well was pretty risky but to a young generation of dance music fans it ticked all the right boxes… for the wrong reasons as you’ll see below.

It’s an easy track to forget but an easier track to remember upon hearing those first 10 seconds and paving the way to some shapes being cut.
