Myspace lost all your 2000s photos and music uploads

RIP those electro mashups on your abandoned Myspace profile. The previously ‘Tom Anderson’ owned business lost all music, photos and video uploads on it’s site, dating from 2003 all the way to bloody 2015 (Editors note: Between 2008 and 2015, there was probably only about 8 things uploaded to Myspace. Disclaimer: This is a wild guess).

It’s been revealed that during a migration in 2015, something must have forked up with an official statement quoting:

As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from Myspace. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest that you retain your back up copies.

All hope is not lost for your weirdly nostalgic friends who want one last taste of the past thanks to the company offering an email set up for people to individually contact the company direct:

If you would like more information, please contact our Data Protection Officer, Dr. Jana Jentzsch at [email protected]

Ahhhh who can forget the time when MySpace Records released Mickey Avalon’s ‘Jane Fonda’… Well all of us now that it’s been flipping deleted. But I’ll save you the nostalgia and post it here one more time for your ear holes.
