Shlohmo teases new album, shares abstract artwork and more

It’s shaping up to be a busy year with both James Blake and Flume teasing news of new music and now fairy enigmatic Los Angeles producer Shlohmo has thrown his hat into the ring.

Sharing on his channels was a look at his new album artwork, album title ‘The End’, a release date penned for the 30th of Jan and a scrambled messaged for fans;

The signs reveal themselves. The door to the physical Kingdom Level above human will be unlocked. These bodies are mere containers. When The End™️ comes where will you be what will you do how will we transition?

What to expect? Likely the glitchy, bubbling goodness we’ve come to know from Shlohmo especially since he hasn’t released anything in a few years.

The album will follow the footsteps of earlier LPs ‘Bad Vibes’ from way back in 2011 and ‘Dark Red’ in 2015 as well as a single he dropped last year ‘Wen 222’ – although we’re unsure this is anything but a rarity he dug out of an old hard drive as explained;

To celebrate the reissue of my Vacation EP, I scoured deep into several ancient firewire hard drives and somehow found the original files for ‘Wen uuu :)’ and remade/ reimagined the song into ‘Wen 222,’ available now for your listening pleasure 😉

‘The End’ drops January 30th 2019.
