Four Tet and Massive Attack collab on powerful Neneh Cherry track ‘Kong’

Dance pop veteran Neneh Cherry has revealed new material in collaboration with Four Tet and Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja, her first solo material since her 2014 LP Blank Project.

Released just yesterday, the dub reggae slow burner Kong sees the Swedish singer slow the tempo to bring awareness to the current refugee crisis in Europe, singing lyrics such as “Every nation seeks its friends in France and Italy and all across the seven seas.” over a stuttering, brooding instrumental. Cherry is no stranger to working with Four Tet and Del Naja, having helped bankroll Massive Attack in the late 80s, with Four Tet making contributions to her last body of work Blank Project.
