A big techno festival has decided not to share their lineup at all!

The Labyrinth, a Japanese techno festival, has decided to not share its lineup at all this year, saying “Mystery and surprise are key elements of artistic experiences, but expectations can sometimes get in the way”.

Punters will be given a timetable on the day when they arrive, but have been asked that they don’t share it online and to let their friends discover it for themselves as they arrive. They’ve teased a few artists though, saying that 5 artists will be debuting at the festival and one artist who we haven’t seen  at the festival in a while.

A couple of festivals have done similar things, Secret Garden in Australia for example doesn’t release the line up until tickets are sold out. Do you think this is a cool idea or just a boring gimmick? Read the full statement from Mindgames here and tell us what you think!
