Set Mo keep their hot-streak rolling with ‘See The Light’

Sydney based electronic producers, Set Mo, have returned to the scene in 2018 with their latest single, See The Light which is the 6th instalment in and eleven-track output planned for this year.

Having just returned from a highly anticipated string of shows in the US, it is clear that Nick Drabble and Stu Turner of Set Mo are among the hardest working musicians in Australia. See The Light follows on from previous releases which include Fault Lines, premiered on Triple J Good Nights as well as Communicate, Near, Unity and Nightmares.

2017 saw the lads from Set Mo embark on a a writing and recording jaunt across studios in London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Australia, and are keen to continue to electrify our ear canals with their Track A Month campaign in 2018.

We wrote “See The Light” the day we landed in Europe to start a month long writing trip. On very little sleep we hit the Berlin studio and walked out with something quite different to our usual style, but we were extremely proud of the song then and are even more so now.

See The Light is seemingly more dark and brooding than previous Set Mo releases but has an equally appealing anthemic feel as the joint progresses. This record warps heavy synth production with lighter vocal tones to create an instantly likeable dance tune. Warped guitar pedals and a breakbeat rhythm encapsulate See The Light and make it one of Set Mo’s poignant releases.

Lets hope there is a lot more to come from the Sydney-siders as they take Australia by storm.
