Fat Freddy’s Drop have finally graced us with some new music, releasing the electronically and politically charged number Trickle Down last week.

Like us waiting for new Fat Freddy’s tunes, the Kiwi seven piece are “getting short on patience” – voicing their concerns with the false principle of trickle-down economics.

A solid beat gets things rolling, before the all familiar harmonies and classic brass flourishes put an exclamation mark on the track, driving home the bands frustrations. After some time off, the heavy synth and electronic experimentation on the track hints a potential change of direction for the dub reggae group.
