Ross From Friends adds an impressive new remix to his catalogue

London newcomer Westerman has received a dreamy remix of Edison, courtesy Ross From Friends.

The fellow UK-based producer steers well clear of the original tone on this rework, with the addition of droning synth chords and some stabbing, garage inspired instrumentals. Westerman’s vocals also cop a 180, with Ross From Friends chopping them up and rebuilding the structure into something almost unrecognisable from the original.

The up-and-coming Westerman has been turning heads in his relatively short amount of time in the scene, with his recent release Confirmation – along with B-side I Turned Away – grabbing the attention of Pitchfork, Noisey, NME and more.

Listen to Ross From Friends’ take on Edison below and be sure to keep an eye on Westerman in the future.
