We were hyped when we heard we’d be getting new RUFUS this week, and we can gladly say the hype was well worth it because we’ve been gifted with a bop.
The Sydney trio – who announced their first piece of music in two years last weekend – show an impressive musical progression with ‘No Place’, taking a darker, more brooding angle that shines through with their stellar production that blends house and pop and that all too familiar vocal.
Speaking on their new music, the band say “It feels like a new RÜFÜS… We are inspired by our new home out here, by the people we’ve met and the music we’ve heard along the way. We’ve got a refreshed sense of ambition and cannot wait to share our creation with the world”.
That refreshed sense of ambition certainly cuts through on ‘No Place’ and if this is a sign of things to come for what will be their third studio album, I’m all for it. Listen below and enjoy.
