Gorillaz co-founder casually leaves copy of unreleased album in a taxi

Damon Albarn, the brains trust behind English virtual pop band the Gorillaz has had a close call with some unreleased material.

Having released their highly anticipated 2017 album, ‘Humanz’, the group’s head honcho, Albarn, revealed intentions to drop some new music in 2018. However, panic stations were called the other day when Albarn accidentally left his laptop, which contained a master copy of the Gorillaz unreleased album, in the back of a cab after a night out at London’s Groucho Club. The prodigal talent was likely suffering the effects of one too many pinot noirs!

Luckily for the group, the former Blur frontman, Albarn, managed to track down the taxi and the laptop was returned unharmed, presumably saving the group millions. A source close to the group revealed some intel on the Gorillaz latest joint, including that it was going to be ‘”really personal” and “politically charged”, suggesting that Albarn’s strong “opinions on Brexit filter through it”.
