A doco on Berlin’s electronic music culture is dropping this week

Apple Music will play host to a new documentary titled ‘The Sound of Berlin Documentary – a journey through the capital of electronic music,’ slated for released on May 18th.

The film touches on the ‘’irresistible magnetism” of Berlin for a new wave of techno tourists, but also goes back through the rich history of the city and delves into the 1990 reunification of Germany.

The Sound of Berlin, scored by Minus imprint alumni, Marc Houle, features a swath of techno dons, nightlife elite and dance music up-and-comers such as: Juan Atkins, Dr Motte, Dimitri Hegmann (Founder of the infamous club Tresor), Pan Pot, Mathias Kaden, Monolink, Nela, Alexander Krüger, Ekaterina and FreedomB.

Houle proclaims that Berlin is special because you “can you go out on Thursday and come home on Tuesday…where else can you do that”. If you aren’t one of the many global travels who are ‘going to Berlin’ for their European summer getaway, make sure you catch this doco when it is released May 18th.
