Sydney singer/songwriter Quails has shared an emotive new track, ‘Powerless’, paired with an official music video.

Teaming once again with Chilean producer Barretso, Quails constructs a brooding, intense piece of electronica, using her impressive vocals as the driving force that is intertwines perfectly with the instrumentals.

The music video, directed and shot by Marcelle Lunam, sees the track work as a background for a narrative focusing on two young people exploring the earthquake-stricken urban areas of Christchurch, New Zealand. Jumping overgrown, natural landscapes to battered, man-made structures; this visual juxtaposition ties in perfectly with the dark yet blissful nature of the track.
