Kota Banks is hailed as one of Australia’s best pop acts and with her latest release ‘Zoom’, she is proving to be an unstoppable force.
Released via NLV Records, ‘Zoom’ finds the mid-point between Pop and Electronic with sugar coated melodies and percussive production. The track sees Banks teaming once again with NLV Records team member Swick, who previously produced her huge 2017 hit ‘Holiday’.
On top of this, Kota Banks has delivered a music video with the track, that sees her switching up the setting fro her last release significantly.
Speaking on the music video, Banks says it “was inspired by two things: a thrilling late night rendezvous last Winter, and dancehall music. I loved the idea of throwing a colourful, detailed lyric across a sultry beat, because storytelling has always been so important to me, and dancing is something I love at the moment. With this song I got the best of both worlds. I wanted the song to sound like secrecy and adventure and euphoria and late nights. I hope it triggers memories and the prospect of thrill and adventure for people listening.”
Banks has also released dates to her headline show which kicks off in April 6. She will be stopping by Sydney and Melbourne along with Swick, Lewis Cancut and Strict Face for an exclusive show.
