Solange to perform four exclusive Opera House shows this June

Solange Knowles has announced she is heading to Australia this coming June for a string of exclusive shows.

As part of the coming Vivid LIVE celebrations, Solange will be bringing her breakthrough studio album ‘A Seat at the Table’ to the Opera House over the space of 4 nights for her first Australian performance of the record since it’s release.

Speaking on the event, Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Music and Vivid LIVE Curator, Ben Marshall, says “Solange Knowles is having her moment on the world stage right now.”

“With A Seat at the Table’s exploration of black American identity, empowerment and the complexities of black womanhood, she is at the molten-hot intersection of effortlessly cool music and thoughtful activism. Solange’s brilliance in combining spectacular performance with politically-charged music to create a precisely choreographed, fun and riveting neo-soul show, points to the future of R&B.”

Solange will be performing on June 1, 2, 3 and 4, with tickets for each performance currently taking ballot entries.
