After a long slumber, The Imperial Hotel in Erskineville will be re-opening it’s doors in March.
The popular venue was closed in September 2017 for renovations, following two bumpy years consisting of a few run-ins with the authorities, however it will be re-emerging with a facelift just in time for Mardi Gras.
The official launch night, lining up with Mardi Gras-eve, will see the new and improved Imperial hosting a Priscilla Tribute show, followed by an Indigenous drag event on the Saturday. Big weekend ahead.
Here is hoping The Imperial returns to being the elite, inner west nightspot we all knew and loved. Even we held a party in their famous dance dungeon many moons ago.
