The xx announce Melb gig with proceeds going to charity

If you’re in Melbourne, it’s time to reminisce about awkwardly texting your high school crush because The xx are expanding their Melbourne shows by adding one more set to The Forum after selling out their initial show immediately.

There’s no reason to miss this now, and an impressive run of arena shows for the indie-pop trio who the entire room with tears and teen-angst emotion channeled through whispery, gentle vocals and a cool stage demeanour. Supports will not be included in this show, which is unfortunate but at least Earl has added a sideshow for y’all to catch him at if you missed that initial sale of tickets.

On top pf this, the proceeds from this show will go towards Australian charities Heaps Decent and Minus 18, with an equal amount being distributed to each. Legend status achieved.

Heaps Decent are dynamic arts organisation who work with young, emerging artists from disadvantaged and marginalised communities, providing an opportunity for them to tell their story in their own expressive way. Heaps Decent supports change, positive futures & the development of high quality Australian music with a unique identity.

Minus18 are LGBTIQ organisation that aims to provide a space for young individuals in this community to be protected from bullying and discrimination.

Tix are available here, get em while you can.
