Melbourne duo Messy Mammals are a breath of fresh air in the Aussie electronic scene that are back with a bright new EP just in time for Summer.

Titled ‘Connection Lost’, the 3-track release sees the pair delve into a lush blend of blues-meets-electronica, emphasised with some soothing vocal work and production. The beauty of this EP is how each track comes across as an impressive stand-alone cut, while still maintaining a fluidity as a package. You cannot help but feel wow’d from their instrumental skillset that is on show throughout the project, and how it pairs with the vocals impeccably from start to finish.

In their own words, “the EP is an exploration of breakdowns in human connections, as well as low-key grooves, and late 70/s early 80s analog synth & drum machine sounds.”
