Milton Bradley’s new Alien Rain single will make you cower…

The space ship is beyond repair, supplies are low and you are stranded on the planet Mega-Earth Kepler-10c. The environment is harsh and a noxious gas covers Kepler’s uninhabitable terrain. The whole crew died and you’re the lone survivor. Yeah, you’re probably fkd…

That might sound pretty grim but when you listen to Alien Rain’s latest releases, ‘Space Age’ (on Involve Records), it’s hard to not be transported to a distant galaxy. It’s an ominous slab of quicksand techno, filled to the brim with a persistently swelling and bulging acid line. It won’t sound out of place in that unsettling ">Event Horizon scene where they finally decipher the video message which contains a video of the whole crew eating each other after being consumed by the evil force which infiltrated their space ship. Heavy.

This intensity is no surprise of course once you consider that it’s Alien Rain aka Milton Bradley behind the production. Bradley started the pseudonym in 2012 to purge his acid fantasies, and we are all the better for it. Each Alien Rain release is a bona fide stomped, a vivid sci-fi story embedded within each release’s DNA (if you listen closely of course) – and there are many stories to be transported too when you listen back to his entire discography. Bradley’s love for all things sci-fi is evident.

No doubt Milton Bradley will be playing a couple of Acid Rain bangers when he arrives in Australia next month for 2 dates. When he lands it will be almost 3 long overdue years since his last visit, no doubt due to his regular bookings around Berlin’s best venues including Berghain and Tresor. Don’t miss out, who knows how long before he returns…

Tour Dates:
Friday 19th January: stranger @ Sub Club, Melbourne
Saturday 20th January: Club 77, Sydney
