Big Shaq to replace Princess Nokia at Field Day

Princess Nokia has unfortunately pulled out of her set at Field Day, with the annual festival revealing replacements via social media earlier today.

The NYC rapper/activist/boss has come down with tonsillitis during her stay down under, forcing her to cancel her slotted performance, with Field Day announcing UK based comedian/rapper Big Shaq and local producer Running Touch taking the reigns in her absence.

Big Shaq, the man behind the viral hit ‘Mans Not Hot’, is already in Australia for Perth’s ORIGIN NYE festival that takes place tomorrow. Read the full statement from Field Day below:

Morning all,
Unfortunately, due to severe tonsillitis, Princess Nokia is unable to perform at Field Day. She is devastated that she isn’t able to perform for her Australian fans. As you can imagine we’re all upset with this news. However, our touring department have been working around the clock to resolve this and we’re very impressed with what they have achieved. Especially so close to the event.

We are proud to welcome to the Field Day 2018 line up:
BIG SHAQ (aka comedian Michael Dapaah) AND Running Touch!!

Field Day has completely sold out, but for anyone thinking of making the last minute attempt they have set up a ticket resale site. Head to the site here and heat up for Big Shaq below.
