Basenji made his much anticipated return late in 2017, going back-to-back with two vibrant singles in the way of ‘Don’t Let Go’ ft Mereki and ‘Mistakes’ with Tkay Maidza.

The singles – undoubtedly part of a larger project to come in 2018 – show musical maturity from the Sydney producer whose own skill set and taste have developed significantly over the years.

We linked with the Future Classic signee this week ahead of his headline set at Red Bull Sound Select’s Christmas party tonight to pick his brain on what music he is surrounding himself with of late.

From SOPHIE to Yaeji, Floating Points to Kelela, this curated playlist depicts a broad and eclectic taste for music that is definitely reflective in Basenji’s own production.
