It looks as thought we might be getting a new Gorillaz album sooner than expected. with co-founder Jamie Hewlett spilling the beans that he and Damon Albarn have a record lined up for 2018.
In a recent ">chat with the German publisher TASCHEN, Hewlett explained they are “working on another Gorillaz album that we’re going to be releasing next year.”
“Usually we have a good five-year break between each album but we decided, you know what? Let’s keep going. Because there’s ideas for a few more albums so we’re going to go straight into that. So that will be all of next year and probably the year beyond that.”
So looks like the long wait for HUMANZ will not be repeated. Thank you, music gods.
