The hardest track of the year just got a music video!

We called Alison Wonderland‘s colourful banger ‘Happy Place’ the hardest track of the year, and we’re not taking it back. Now with a video filled with flashing lights, large crowds and blithe dancing from Wonderland, the track has met it’s visual match.

The video was directed by Wonderland herself, one again flexing her multi-faceted creative skill set. It’s primarily using tour footage from her Europe run, which took her through 23 dates and sold a massive 40,000 tickets overall. The blaring synths go nicely with the strobing lights, which flicker on and off in front of a hall of screaming fans waiting for the drop to explode in their ears and penetrate their drug-stimulated minds. If the shots aren’t in a room packed to the back with people, it’s footage of Wonderland dancing quite literally dancing as if no one is watching, in a desolate field in an unidentified location. Jumping back and forth between these two locations, we guess Wonderland sees her ‘Happy Place’ in each.

Her Australian shows begin this week with a Wonderland Warehouse Project 3.0 event starting things off in Adelaide on Friday night, and then for a bit of spice, a Wonderland Scarehouse Project event in Brisbane on Sunday. Her upcoming album has yet to be announced, but has a guaranteed release slot for 2018.
