Premiere: STALKER presents lush new tune ‘Rolling Tide’

Sydney bass lord STALKER has just given the world a fresh tune, “Rolling Tide (Feat. Romy Wave)”. And we get to show it off exclusively. What a guy.

Stalker (IRL: Aaron Roman) has been stealing the spotlight with every track he releases, and every show he plays. And because of that, he’s had a huge year. From a coveted slot opening for Kayzo at Home the Venue, to racking up over a million plays across his tracks online, it’s clear that his high energy, ultra crisp production, and bold bass style is doing alright for him, we guess.

Next in line is “Rolling Tide”, a collaboration with vocalist Romy Wave that is sure to get you feeling all kinds of good things. It’s a the best kind of slow burner, shifting through multiple soundscapes before gifting you with that massive drop. Rolling vocal chops are accompanied by a delicate piano, before swirling into an electrified soundscape. Romy’s angelic vocals rise and fall, shaped by the echo, as Stalker gradually builds the intensity. And when it drops? We get some serious ear candy from an array of whacky, manipulated sounds, perfectly balanced with wavering synths and a slamming beat. Every sound feels like it is in the perfect place it needs to be. It’s a proper treat on the ears.

The entire process was arranged online, with Romy Wave in France, and Stalker in Sydney. “She hit me up on Soundcloud not long after I released Somebody New.  She sent me some links to her YouTube, which is fire BTW, and I knew straight away it would be fun to work with her.” says Stalker.

Stalker says he’s got plenty more huge collaborations in the works, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, enjoy this gem of a track below.
