Kimchi Princi is absolutely on for tracks, particularly when it comes to up-and-coming hip-hop prospects.

The Sydney based artist has impressed us over the past 2 years with her unique sound and aesthetic, and this certainly translates into her live performances and DJ sets.

We caught up with Kimchi to chat new music this week ahead of her slot at Sosueme on Wednesday night in Bondi, to see what tracks stood out for her in 2017 so far. Peep her list below!

1. Selasie Wussah – Edge

I’m a big Selasie fan and can’t wait to hear his new new stuff. Really love the flow, melodies and lyrics of this recent one. Perfect for the late night drives.

2. Kandere – BB GOY

Out of 2017 this song is a standout for me. It’s got that power and subtlety without being an over-the-top kinda track. I still haven’t seen Kandere live but I’ve heard it is a whole new level.

3. OKENYO – WOMAN’S WORLD

An anthem for 2017 and beyond. Also love seeing Okenyo absolutely killing the live sets with her band.

4. slim set – Lazy

If this doesn’t get you wet for Slim Set’s upcoming EP, you’re sleeping lol

5. Kimchi Princi – She’s That Princi

“I do it how I wanna, and that’s how it’s gonna be…” Words to live by, amiright? ~ This is the first solo track I did with Atro (one half of slim set and also  superstar DJ). We’ve got about four tracks together on my upcoming mixtape so this is a nice throwback until then. All I can say is, 2018 is going to be… h u g e :~)
