Cops had to shut down a house party that had no guests…

A German bloke has stumbled into the stitch-up of the year, with his Amazon AI kick-starting a house party that forced police to break into his home to shut down.

Confusing, right? Well the man posted onto Amazon’s German Facebook page describing the scenario, in which his AI named Alexa started playing music full blast throughout the house at 1:50am until 3am before it was turned off.

He wrote in his post that “Alexa managed on her own, without command and without me using my mobile (Spotify or similar) to turn on at full volume and have her own party at my apartment.

“She decided to have it at a very inconvenient time, between 1.50am and 3.00am. My neighbours called the police.”

A representative from Amazon has responded to this absurd occurrence, telling The Inquirer that they are “working directly with the customer, we have identified the reason for the incident… Echo was remotely activated and the volume increased through the customer’s third party mobile music-streaming app.

Although the Alexa cloud service worked flawlessly, Amazon has offered the customer to cover the cost for the incident.”

Hard times, I wonder if he will cop a fine?
