The Gaslamp Killer’s Aussie shows cancelled following rape allegations

On Friday, it was reported that LA producer The Gaslamp Killer was accused of raping two women in 2013, after one of the victims, Chelsea Elaynne (@chelseaelaynne) shared her story on Twitter.

Over the weekend, The Gaslamp Killer’s regular bookers Low End Theory, former label Brainfeeder and himself have spoken out on the issue, with both Low End Theory and Brainfeeder cutting ties with the producer while he himself claims her story “is not true”.

Now, Aussie party crew The Operatives have joined in the conversation, revealing they have cancelled The Gaslamp Killer’s oncoming Australian shows including Breakfest in Perth, and Let Them Eat Cake in Melbourne this coming Summer.

Taking to Facebook this morning, they said that “we feel that a cancellation of the upcoming tour is currently the only option.”

“Hopefully there will be some clarity on the entire case in the near future, and justice is served in truth. Be good to each other people, there is enough negativity in the world, and abuse of any kind is something that we will not tolerate in any way, shape or form.”
