Six artists What So Not NEEDS to collaborate with

What So Not is swiftly approaching album time. There is simply no denying that because he has been geeing it up for a while now.

The Sydney-based producer and all-round leg-end has been working on his debut album for quite some time, and over the past 2-years has kept up all full up with good tunes that have seen the bloke working with the likes of George Maple, RL Grime, Skrillex, JOY. and GANZ among others.

So with no album release date, title or any info other than ‘it’s coming soon’ to run with, we decided to speculate over some prime collabs we’d love to see featured on the LP.

Check out our 6 selections below. Who would you add?

Tkay Maidza

You may remember Tkay’s track ‘Ghost’ from back in 2015, and yeah, it was a banger. Well What So Not had an imprint on the production on that tune and it showed! These two seriously need to link up again for the good of us all.

Kuren

Kuren is proving to be a real force to be reckoned with, and brings vocals into the equation as well as production skill. This, matched with WSN’s veteran production techniques could make for a gem single.

Eve Karyadas

Formerly know as Eves the Behaviour; Eves Karydas has such a powerful voice, and her return to music under her birth name recently confirmed any doubt of that. If WSN had a bass-driven, slow jam in the arsenal, this would be the perfect match.

L D R U

Drew came up around the same time What So Not started sky rocketing into global recognition, and we can all draw a lot of similarities between the pair. This is exactly why they should bang heads together and have a little Bass-heavy baby. They’re also playing Flux Festival in Adelaide together and seeing them go b2b would be quite the sight!

Vera Blue

Vera may have the most incredible voice in the game right now. Her collab with SLUMBERJACK earlier in the year was proof she knows how to handle some large-scale production, which is why a joint effort with WSN is so important to have!

Flume

This might be a touch controversial but lets face it, these two guys had a magical musical chemistry, and it’d just be so nice to see them work together on a new track. Poetic, even. Could it happen?

Who do you think What So Not should collaborate with next? Let us know in the comments and be sure to catch him along with Deadmau5, L D R U, Set Mo and more at Flux Festival in Adelaide on Dec 1st. See more on that right here.
