FBi Radio has appointed a new Program Director

FBi Radio has just announced young-gun Daniel Ahern as the station’s new Program Director.

The 24-year-old Sydney local certainly fits the bill, having worked as the Assistant/Acting Music Director at 2SER, clerking at Media Arts Lawyers and is also a music maker himself under the monicker Bus Vipers which has signed to Future Classic.

He’s also worked as a journalist researching media law for the Gazette of Law and Journalism, has reported for Richard Ackland’s Justinian and edited for radioinfo.

Speaking on his new role with the community radio station, Ahern says “I couldn’t be more thrilled. FBi has been an important part of my life since giving me my first airplay as a 15-year-old. I will put everything I have into ensuring the station goes from strength to strength, continues to connect with its core demographic, and is adaptive to the ever changing media environment while staying proudly independent.”

Ahern commences the role on November 27 and will be taking over from outgoing Program Director Caroline Gates. Good luck mate!
