Nightclub calls out renowned DJ for “ridiculous” demands

A UK nightclub and a popular house DJ have engaged in a social media clash after a recent booking went sour.

Abstrakt, a new club night located in Edinburgh, had booked Jeremy Underground for a headline slot for their upcoming launch night, however they revealed this evening that they have since dropped the booking as a matter of principle after “ridiculous demands” from the artist’s agent.

Their post is a long one, but in a nutshell Abstrakt believe they have been bullied by Underground’s team and are at a loss for money as a result. They state in the post that “It’s against everything the underground scene / house music is meant to stand for and is exactly the type of behaviour that is making so many promoters stop promoting parties.”

Jeremy Underground has since responded publicly, saying “My agent got a bit angry. And yes things got out of control. I know he already apologized to the promoters. I apologize on behalf of him aswell. I understand the anger – and I’m the first one in this whole situation to feel fucked – But insults are never a good choice.”
