10 dance music heads you’d definitely invite to a kick-on

Sometimes, when the stars align, an opportunity to kick-on with the artist whose show you attended comes your way. When that moment comes, you’d best make the most of it.

Here are some dance music artists that we’d jump at the chance to kick-on with.

#CONTENT

1. Dillon Francis

Goes without saying that the king of Snapchat himself would be the first person to get amongst it at a kick-on. The LA funny man would no doubt be an MVP in the early hours of the morning. That or you’ll discover the party animal attitude is actually a facade and he’s first to pass out with his face becoming a canvas for the first person to find a Sharpie.

2. Getter

The OWSLA producer made a name for himself on Vine at the same time he started coming up in the L.A scene. He knows how to get a party started and hopefully he CC’s Nick Colleti into the kic- on. $100 bucks to whoever snips the bleach blonde fringe off, though.

3. Kaytranada

You know when it gets to 4am and everyone’s lying on a couch listening to some mix that’s been on repeat for 2 hours? The calls for an Uber are getting louder but you know the kick on isn’t done just yet? This is where the funk lord Kaytranada comes in. No doubt he’d put on an absolutely clinic to get everyone up dancing!

4. Rezz

The talented 21 year old producer from Canada would be able to get any kick on started with her face melting beats. There would definitely be fights over who gets to wear the goggles though. Speaking of which, how the hell does she see what she is ding on the decks when she wears them?

5. Busy P

This dude has done it all. Aside from his impressive solo career, he runs one of the longest standing electronic focused labels in Ed Banger and started off his career managing Daft Punk! He’d be on for some loose stories over a few warm tinnies, that’s for sure.

6. Brodinski

Another sexy Frenchman to the list and an absolute must-have at any afterparty. If you can handle the fact that he is going to definitely smoke in your kitchen, living room and bathroom, then you might get a hefty hip-hop-meets-techno set out of him!

7. The Black Madonna

She really needs no explanation. Judging by her Twitter presence, The Black Madonna is loaded with good banter and that paired with access to the AUX chord is gonna make for fine company.

8. Seth Troxler

It goes without saying that Seth Troxler fits the bill for a kick-on. Remember that famous bush doof video where he was losing his shit? Yeah. It really sums it all up.

9. Pete Tong

As the man behind BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix, Pete has chummed it with pretty much everyone in dance music. If anyone is going to have some doozy industry stories, it’s going to be Mr. Tong. Oh, and he’s handy on the decks as well. Would the voice become a bit too much though?

10. Ricardo Villalobos

I’m pretty sure Ricardo has the most well documented kick-on face in all of dance music. At 47-years-old, he remains one of the most notorious party animals in the scene. There’s even a club in Sydney dedicated to his first name. It’s that serious, people! If Ricardo was at your kick-on, you wouldn’t be seeing your bed for a week.

On the flip side, here are 12 artists who desperately need a good sleep.
