Triple j‘s Hottest 100 countdown could be changing it’s for future years.

The nationwide music mecca has been reviewing the date for some time now, with concerns growing across the country that celebrations on January 26 should not be made.

ABC News has shared an article this week that has given us an update on where triple j stands on this topic, and it is looking like change may be in the air.

In the article, they state that “over the past 10 months we’ve been consulting with a range of people, musicians, community leaders and representative groups on their opinions of Australia Day and the implications of holding the Hottest 100 on that day.”

Triple j is now bringing the question to all of us – the listeners – giving everyone the opportunity to share their piece on the date change proposal.

You can weigh in on the discussion right here. Should the date be changed, in your opinion?
