Kendrick Lamar’s latest album may be considered a no-go-zone in terms of remixing for some, however fellow LA artist Xie was brave enough to go there and she has delivered the goods!

The up-and-coming songstress/producer/multi-media artist has taken hold of K.Dot’s ‘Love’ and dished up a brooding, sensual electronic cover, loaded with booming synths, quirky instrumentals and her blissful vocals. She ain’t afraid to hit Kendrick’s verses either, and she does it well!

Speaking on the cover, Xie says “I’ve always been a huge fan of hip-hop, and this song just asked me to dance with it. Love isn’t just about romance, it’s an emotional topic that everyone struggles with. I operate off of emotion, probably too much, so it was really fun and therapeutic to connect to such great writing and bring the song to life in my own way.”
