RinseFM’s entire back-catalogue on SoundCloud has turned up gone. What the hell?
The news comes following what has arguably been SoundCloud’s heaviest week ever, after letting go of 173 staff members and facing questions from all angles as to whether or not they can afford to keep going.
SoundCloud has since responded though, claiming there is nothing to worry about. They said “The music you love on SoundCloud isn’t going away, the music you shared or uploaded isn’t going away, because SoundCloud is not going away. Not in 50 days, not in 80 days or anytime in the foreseeable future.”
I guess that wasn’t the case for Rinse FM who are now absent from the streaming service completely. Thankfully for Rinse, they have backed everything up. If this doesn’t come as a lesson to to back up then I don;t know what is.
