Premiere: Sydney band Left. share emotional track ‘Thank Me Later’

One of the most exciting local acts coming up right now , Left. have today shared a brand new track in ‘Thank Me Later’.

This emotional release touches on the hardships associated with the crumbling of relationships, a topic everyone is familiar with that is effortlessly portrayed through the brooding, instrumentation and angelic vocal work in this track.

The track comes nearly a year since Left.’s last release ‘No Way’, a track that has clocked in over 400,000 plays on Spotify and cemented their spot on the Aussie music scene radar.

Speaking on their new offering, Left. vocalist Sarah Corry says “We wrote this song pretty much completely in one session on a Friday night. In fact, we wrote almost two songs in one session – it was a crazy feeling where we all just came together and magic happened (Jono, Adit and I + our friend 18 Year Old Man was there for a bit too!).”

“This song is about someone I really screwed over many moons ago – I had a bit of a fickle heart and one day was like “nup”. But looking back on it, it was both of our faults. He stopped making our relationship a happy place, so I subconsciously let go of it until one day I felt nothing. This is my apology for not being mature enough to really understand that at the time and make amends.”

Their forthcoming EP ‘Stay/Go’ is inbound this Spring. For now, give ‘Thank Me Later’ an ear and let us know what you make of it.
