Electronic music tastemaker/record producer Machinedrum (aka Travis Stewart) shares the first taste of new music, following on from last year’s career-defining LP ‘Human Energy’.

Following the release of ‘U Betta’ in April this year, the now LA-based musician teamed up with British singer/songwriter Rosie Lowe for their new track ‘What Is This’.

“Rosie and I originally wrote this tune a few years ago in a London studio.  It was originally quite somber and slow moving, a song about learning to trust the ones you love and to let go of jealousy.  It also deals with obsession and all the confusing emotions you get when you first fall in love.  When I was working on ‘Human Energy’ I pulled up the vocals from that session and decided to give them new life.  We are so happy to finally share this very special song with the world!” 

‘U Betta’ and ‘What Is This’ are part of a compilation of new music to be released throughout 2017, with a string of festival dates booked over Summer, touring with his Human Energy Live A/V show (in collaboration with Strangeloop and Timeboy).
