Elon Musk reveals plan to launch music streaming service

One of the most interesting blokes getting around for many reasons, Elon Musk looks to be adding another feather to his cap with talks of launching his own music streaming service.

The South-African born entrepreneur made mention of this during a recent Recode article, where he said he had future prospects to start his own platform for music streaming that may be tied in with his innovative car company, Tesla.

Whether or not that will is the case is yet to be confirmed by Musk, however he has mentioned that he is in talks with major labels for licensing deals.

One Tesla rep maintained an on-the-fence approach to the medias questioning, stating “we believe it’s important to have an exceptional in-car experience so our customers can listen to the music they want from whatever source they choose. Our goal is to simply achieve maximum happiness for our customers”.

It seems everything Elon Musk touches turns to gold, but is tackling the big dogs such as Spotify and Apple Music a smart move? We’ll learn soon enough.
