With a brand new EP on the horizon, Sydney producer Oski has shared with us a brand new cut from the project in Shadows.
The track – put via Quality Goods Records – is a dark slice off the new project, built up around some heavy drums and spooky vocal cuts. It builds and builds with instrumental gestures that eventually leads up to a textural apex when everything finally collides.
Speaking on the track and how it works in the EP as a whole, Oski says “it was the tune I always wanted to write, the rest of the EP was finished and I wrote the track in just under a week while I was in Atlanta and worked on the tune with Vitillaz, who is the resident engineer at The Block Society Studios.”
“The track is quite different from what I usually write but draws inspiration from the type of dance music that I was surrounded with in Canberra when I was growing up.”
Oski’s ‘Kid Calamity’ EP drops tomorrow, May 26, and can be pre-ordered right here. Listen to Shadows below for now and see what you make of it.
