Sydney local legends Set Mo have had a busy past few months to say the very least. In between hitting all corners of the country during their Never Ending Summer tour, playing to booming festival crowds at Lost Paradise and Secret Garden, and of course, smashing out not one but two sweaty home ground rounds of their now-signature Stamina Sessions, the duo have somehow found the time to grace us with an EP.

‘After Dark Vol. 1‘ dropped on Friday through etcetc and features two tracks that the boys have been spinning during their shows, now refined and even more dance-floor ready. While ‘Yeah‘ gets you cutting vigorous shapes with that deep, bouncy bass, infectious cowbells and punchy vocal jabs, ‘Merriwa‘ is a darker number. It’s powerfully atmospheric, featuring ritualistic chorals and ominous synths held together by a relentlessly driving bass.

The Set Mo boys put it best: ‘The After Dark series is an outlet for the tracks we’ve written strictly for the club. These are best fit for big soundsystems, smokey nightclubs and of course dancing’.

Next up for the Sydney house fiends is Groovin the Moo Bendigo, before they return to Byron once again for Splendour In The Grass. Did you manage to snatch tickets?
