Kraftwerk To Release Audio/Visual Documentary Next Month

Techno lords, Kraftwerk, have just hit us with the announcement of a multi-format release which will give us an audio and visual documentation of some of the band’s 3D performances between 2012 and 2016.

The iconic German band are no strangers to giving the traditional relationship of audience and sound the middle finger. The titled Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue is set to be no different.

Rolling out some of their best work across DVD, CD, Digital and Vinyl, the box set will feature their albums Autobahn, Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World, Techno Pop (originally released as Electric Café), The Mix, and Tour De France.

Doubling down on their quasi-robotic visual aesthetic, the physical edition will also come with a 236-page book full of exclusive images from shows as well as some unseen photos.

For anyone who prefers the short & quick, there will be two condensed versions of the release which will feature a combination of tracks from previous albums.

With a release date of May 26, perhaps the best news is that this hyperreal journey is not too far off. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you want (or need) a copy.
