Discwoman Co-Founder UMFANG Reveals New Album Set For June

Brooklyn local and Bossa Nova Civic Club resident, UMFANG, has announced her new album, Symbolic Use Of Lightwhich will be released on Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour.

Although this is UNFANG’S first release with Ninja Tune, her previous productions have been delivered widely via 1080p, Allergy Season, Videogamemusic, and Phinery.

Real name Emma Burgess-Olson, the talent producer’s first single from the album, Weight, is already available on Soundcloud. The whole album is recorded live, with post-production magic used “only for quick progression.”

“My process is really about sitting down and seeing what happens,” Burgess-Olson said of the release “It becomes a time-capsule of whatever works from that time period.”
