Light Year’s 2012 release Moderation is arguably one of the greatest dance tunes to birth from the Australian music scene.

It was released with Bang Gang as part of a two-track EP, and I can literally pin-point the moment I first heard this monster track and the memory is still as vivid as ever. In a nutshell, I was skimming through radio channels while on route to uni on a glum, rainy day, when that all of a sudden that droning and now familiar bass-line pounced out at me when I landed on FBi Radio.

The track, now 5-years on, still stands strong alongside the best of them, and if anything has grown even finer on the ears with time.
