Caribou, Hot Chip, Floating Points And More To Release Album

Nine musicians have come together for what could be one of the largest collaborations ever.

Floating Points, Dan Snaith of Caribou, Joe Goddard of Hot Chip, Jeremy Greenspan of Junior Boys and Simian Mobile Disco’s James Shaw are some of the artists involved in the release of an album this month that will see this supergroup cover Frank McCarty’s 1973 score Tactus Tempus

Pitchfork reports the LP came to fruition in July 2016 at Joe Goddard’s London studio, and will contain two 15-minute pieces with each musician credited with a different electronic instrument; Snaith using a Buchla 200E and Floating Points, real name Sam Shepherd, handling a Yamaha CS80.

The album is set to be released on Bandcamp via Geej Recordings on MArch 17, before seeing release through other outlets on March 24th.
