Aphex Twin’s Logo Designer Unearths Early, Unseen Sketches

The man behind one of the most recognised logos in electronic music has published never-before-seen sketches that depict the evolution of how the logo came to be.

We are of course talking about Aphex Twin, and the man behind his long-running logo, Paul Nicholson.

Nicholson’s designs were discovered in an old workbook of his and were drafted between November 1991 and October 1993. Speaking on the rarity of these designs, he says “everything presented here has never been published before and unseen since worked on with Richard.”

On top of this, Nicholson plans to release further developmental art in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Aphex Twin’s ‘Selected Ambient Works 85 – 92’. Nothing like some dance music history to get the blood flowing.
